Our Levels of Care

Cambrian Assisted Living and Memory Care feature standard daily services in addition to distinct levels of support, in which our skilled personnel effectively meet the needs of each and every resident.

Prior to admission, you and your loved one will meet with our Director of Resident Care to aid in determining which level of care best suits your loved one’s needs. Cambrian Memory Care services are more exclusive, ranging in 3 levels of care.

Level 1 is our standard care level and is included with monthly rent*. We will look for the following when determining if your loved one requires Level 1 care.

  • Resident is able to complete daily activities with minimal assistance.
  • Resident is able to manage his or her own toileting or incontinence needs without assistance.
  • Resident is able to fully understand and follow directions as well as participate in his or her own decision making.
  • Resident is able to engage in activities with minimal assistance.

We will look for the following when determining if your loved one requires Level 2 care.

  • Resident requires light assistance to manage minor incontinence with the use of incontinence products.
  • Resident needs regular assistance with transfers from one location to another or from room to room (One staff person is able to manage transfer).
  • Wandering occurs requiring increased supervision/redirection.

We will look for the following when determining if your loved one requires Level 3 care.

  • Resident requires supervision and assistance in all areas.
  • Resident requires frequent incontinence care, full assistance with products, linen changes and shower or partial baths related to incontinence.
  • Resident needs assistance with feeding.
  • Resident needs regular assistance with transfers from one location to another or from room to room (Two staff are required to manage transfer).

Levels of Care: Memory Care

Please note: Level 1 Memory Care is based on Resident’s ability to complete activities of daily living with minimal assistance, leave and return from the premises under supervision of family members or friends, manage his/her own toileting or incontinence needs without assistance, fully understand and follow directions as well as participate in their own decision making, engage in activities with minimal assistance and follow a routine with some prompting.

Level 1 Care

Level 1 is our standard service level and is included with the monthly rent based on private or semi-private apartment. It includes:

  • All three meals served daily in a spacious dining room setting. A dietician is available to manage restrictive diets
  • Daily activity schedule provided with events to promote socialization
  • Light assistance with bathing, dressing and ambulating
  • 24 hour staffing
  • Weekly laundering of personal items, towels, and bedding
  • Weekly housekeeping
  • Online access to activity calendar and menus available for family and friend planning purposes
  • Online access to photos available showing residents’ participation in events
Level 2 Care

Level 2 services include everything listed in Level 1, plus:

  • Light assistance to aid resident in managing minor incontinence with the use of incontinent products
  • Regular resident assistance with transfers from one location to another or from room to room (one staff person is able to manage transfer)
  • Resident ability to manage ADL’s with prompts and assistance of one staff member
  • Increased supervision/redirection for resident when wandering
  • Wander alert device for residents with memory loss
  • Resident absence of behavioral issues
  • Hands-on resident assistance required to shower
  • Resident requires special meal preparation or prompting to feed self
Level 3 Care

Memory Care Level 3 Includes Level 1 & 2 services and amenities plus:

  • Resident supervision and assistance in all areas
  • Constant supervision due to exit seeking or other high-risk behavior
  • Resident requires use of fall alert device
  • Resident requires frequent incontinence care, full assistance with products, linen changes, and shower or partial baths related to incontinence
  • Resident requires assistance with transfers and ADL’s, which require more than one staff person to manage
  • Assisting resident with feeding
  • Resident is resistant to care requiring frequent interventions to meet daily needs
  • Resident requires special meal preparation or prompting to feed self

Levels of Care: Assisted Living

Level 1 Care

Level 1 with Medication Management – additional $350

  • Three meals plus snacks each day
  • Weekly Housekeeping and Laundry
  • Emergency Call System
  • Medication Reminders
  • Monthly Wellness Assessment
  • 24 hour resident care staff
  • An abundance of sisal, physical, spiritual, and entertaining activities

Assisted Living Level 1 is our standard care level and is included with monthly rent*,

Level 2 Care

Assisted Living Level 2 Includes Level 1 services and amenities plus:

  • Medication Management
  • Assistance with showering
  • Assistance with daily grooming
  • Incontinence assistance
  • One-person transfer assistance
  • Dining and Activity reminders
  • Transportation to dining/activities
  • Personal Monitoring System
Level 3 Care

Assisted Living Level 3 Includes Level 1 & 2 services and amenities plus:

  • Scheduled toileting
  • Incontinence care resuming in frequent linen changes, laundry
  • and showering
  • Frequent supervision
  • Coordination of Hospice Care
Level 4 Care

Assisted Living Level 4 Includes Level 1, 2 & 3 services and amenities plus:

  • Exit seeking or other behavioral issues
  • Two person transfer and/or ADL assistance
  • Feeding assistance
  • Resistance to care requiring frequent interventions
